CARE THAT STARTS WITH UNDERSTANDING

More precision in assessment.
More meaning in care.

Assessing an older person means understanding their physical and mental capacities, their context and their potential for autonomy.

This course connects the foundations of health measurement with the use of instruments covering the five dimensions of Intrinsic Capacity. It develops skills across all settings of care for older people and supports evidence-based management decisions in any Portuguese-speaking country.

Primary care, home care, long- or short-term care facilities — including residential care facilities and care homes for older people — day centres, rehabilitation services and hospital services, among others.

Content grounded in the concept of Intrinsic Capacity and the World Health Organization's ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) approach.
